  • Presidential Historian Jon Meacham to Speak at Bijou Theatre

    The Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law (LMU Law) and the East Tennessee Historical Society (ETHS) have joined forces to bring presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Mecham to Knoxville for a community lecture at 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2020, in the Bijou Theatre. One of America’s most prominent public intellectuals, Meacham is known as a skilled orator with a depth of knowledge about politics, religion and current affairs. He brings historical context to the issues and events impacting our daily lives. The author will discuss his New York Times bestselling Presidential biography, "Destiny and Power: The American Odyssey of George Herbert Walker Bush."

  • LMU School of Business Offering Free Basic Tax Preparation

    School of Business students will be preparing taxes under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Roger Holt, assistant professor of management, Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., through the IRS tax deadline on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Holt and his students have been trained on the IRS tax software and are certified to e-file returns. The services will not be available over LMU’s spring break on March 23 or 25.

  • LMU Music Program to Host Henderson and Pearlman Duo

    The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Music Program will present a concert by the Shetland fiddler Kevin Henderson and American pianist Neil Pearlman on Monday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sam and Sue Mars Performing Arts Center in Duke Hall of Citizenship. The concert is free to the public.
