Toldi Named Associate Dean of Clinical Medicine at LMU-DCOM in Orange Park, Florida
LMU-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) welcomed James P. Toldi, DO, FAAFP, CAQSM, to the LMU family on January 1, 2024.
Toldi serves as the Dean of Clinical Medicine for LMU-DCOM at its developing site in Orange Park, Florida. The institution's third location, pending accreditation, will welcome its inaugural class in Fall 2026.
“The mission and the vision drew me in, and the people I met along the way led me to choosing LMU,” he said. “The opportunity to be part of a new campus is also exciting and to help grow and lead that vision to better the community we are part of.”
He is originally from Syracuse, New York but his education took him across the country. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Binghamton University and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM)-Bradenton.
Toldi completed a family residency medicine at Florida State University College of Medicine, a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of New Mexico and is a former team physician for Florida Gulf Coast University, University of New Mexico, San Diego State University, University of South Alabama, Springhill College and IMG Academy.
Moreover, he was the founding fellowship director for the University of South Alabama Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Pediatric Sports Medicine Fellowship and the assistant dean of Clinical Education and Assessment at LECOM-Bradenton.
“I will be utilizing my established relationships with the universities and colleges across Florida to promote our new campus and mission in Orange Park,” he said. “I will also be growing and cultivating relationships with the local health systems for potential partnerships for our clinical rotations.”
In his personal time, Toldi enjoys spending time with his two daughters and wife. He is also an avid runner, running 30-40 miles per week.
