Women of Service Fashion Show Set for August 18

The LMU Women of Service Fashion Show is set for August 18, 2022.

The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Women of Service (WOS) Fashion Show and Vendor Event is just around the corner. The event, set for Thursday, August 18, in Tex Turner Arena, will feature a separate vendor fair with extended hours, a buffet meal with a chocolate fountain, and fashions modeled on stage. All tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be available at the door.

The vendor event, free and open to the public, will be set up in the upper concourse of Tex Turner Arena from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Vendors will include jewelry, home décor, beauty products, clothing, cookies, canned foods, Operation Christmas Child and more.

The floor of the arena will feature a stage for showcasing fashions from AD Campbell, Belk, Chico’s, KC’s Fashions, Kelley Marie Chic Boutique, Lilly Pulitzer Palm Village of Knoxville, Maurice’s, Sweet and Sassy Sisters of Bean Station and The Village Shops Boutique. WVLT morning news anchor Casey Wheeless will be the emcee for the WOS Fashion Show, which begins at 7 p.m.

Advance-only individual tickets ($25) for floor seating will include a buffet meal. Tickets for LMU students (with ID) and children ages 6-12 are $10. Parking for the Fashion Show is in the back of Tex Turner Arena. Tickets can be purchased online at alumni.LMUnet.edu/WOSFashion22 or by calling 423.869.7072. They can also be purchased from University Advancement in Grant-Lee Hall or from any member of the WOS Fashion Show committee.

Established in 2011, the LMU Women of Service is open to all women who want to help students at LMU. By living as an example of service, WOS members teach LMU students about the mission of service to humanity. The Women of Service Fashion Show and the Christmas Festival are dedicated to raising funds for scholarships and other WOS initiatives. The WOS has provided 15 scholarship awards to date and also supports five food pantries and a student career closet.
