Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law (LMU Law) has hired Jordan Houser as its Assistant Director of Career Services.

In this position, Houser will work with the current staff of LMU Law’s Office of Career Services to assist and counsel current law students and alumni regarding all aspects of career opportunities and development, from aiding first-year law students with resume drafting to advising alumni on lateral moves years after graduation.

“As we enroll larger and more geographically diverse classes at LMU Law, we must be proactive in expanding employment opportunities for our students, many of whom will be first-generation lawyers,” LMU Law Vice President and Dean Matt Lyon said. “Jordan’s background and experience make him an ideal person to help us achieve that goal.”

A 2017 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, Houser is a lifelong resident of Knoxville, Tennessee. He joins LMU Law after serving as an attorney with the Tennessee Valley Authority’s Office of the General Counsel, where his practice focused on federal procurement and commercial transactions with an emphasis on complex legal and business risk issues. Prior to his time at TVA, Houser was a real estate associate in the Knoxville office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, P.C., where he served on the office’s recruiting committee.

“Student-focused work has always been my greatest passion, and it is my privilege to assist LMU Law’s students and alumni in achieving their professional goals,” said Houser.

The Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law is located in Knoxville’s Historic Old City Hall Building.
