- LMU Medical Students Celebrate Match Day
On Friday, March 19 at noon, the Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) Class of 2021 opened their emails with excitement and anticipation to find out where they will complete their residency training over the next three to seven years. This event, known as Match Day, is celebrated annually by medical schools across the nation.

A Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) faculty/student trio presented at the 10th Annual International Health Humanities Consortium about ways the global pandemic has affected many people's relationship to food and, as a result, their physical and mental health. Assistant Professor of English Sandra Weems, osteopathic medical student Katherine DeMars, and English major Jennifer Gambrel, made up the all-LMU paper panel that examined these issues in different ways.

LMU plans to hold in-person commencement ceremonies to celebrate undergraduate and graduate degree candidates completing their studies this semester. Two ceremonies will take place at Tex Turner Arena on Saturday, May 8, 2021. An undergraduate ceremony for associate and bachelor degree candidates (AS, BA, BBA, BS) will take place at 10 a.m. and a ceremony for master’s, doctoral and specialist degree candidates (MBA, MEd, MPA, MS, MSN, EdS, EdD) will take place at 2 p.m.

Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) is pleased to announce its affiliation with Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Winchester & Sewanee (STRHS-Winchester/Sewanee). STRHS-Winchester/Sewanee will be a core rotation site to provide clinical training to third- and fourth-year medical students. Twelve osteopathic medical students from LMU-DCOM will begin their clinical rotations at STRHS hospitals and physician practices in July 2021.
