The Lincoln Memorial University-Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) has named Amy McCurry, LVMT, LVT, BBA, as executive director of DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center (DVTC) operations.

McCurry, a licensed veterinary technician, is an alumna of LMU, where she earned both her degree in veterinary technology and a Bachelor of Business Administration. After graduating, McCurry began her career at Lee County Animal Hospital, a mixed-animal practice, where she gained experience with both small and large animals.

McCurry was the first veterinary technician hired by LMU-CVM in 2014 and has served in several leadership roles, including lead large animal technician and director of veterinary technical staff. In her new role, she will oversee DVTC facilities and staff and serve as the primary contact for DVTC operations.

“My goal is to apply my experience to the day-to-day operations of the DVTC and to develop strategies that promote the mission of the CVM,” McCurry said.

McCurry will lead a team that includes existing DVTC staff and new hires to support LMU-CVM’s mission of preparing career-ready, confident, competent veterinary professionals.

“Amy’s dedication to the LMU-CVM and the veterinary profession has made her a vital part of the DVTC and the CVM as a whole,” said Executive Dean Stacy Anderson. “As a licensed technician, she brings a unique perspective that will serve her well in this position, and we are excited to have her step into this new role.”
