LMU Cancels In-person Homecoming Events, Begins Planning Virtual Replacement Homecoming Events

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) President Clayton Hess has announced the on campus, in-person Homecoming, originally planned for October 8-11, has been canceled due the global COVID-19 pandemic.

  • LMU Appoints Dr. Stacy Anderson as Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine

    Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) President Clayton Hess has announced the appointment of Dr. Stacy (Thacker) Anderson as dean of LMU’s College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) effective Aug. 4, 2020. Anderson joined the LMU-CVM in 2015 and has served as associate dean for academic affairs, the director of Large Animal Clinical Skills and associate professor of Large Animal Surgery. Anderson is stepping into the role formerly held by, Dr. Jason Johnson, who will continue serving on the LMU-CVM Advisory Board to ensure a smooth transition of leadership.

  • Katie Jones Named Director of Academic Success and Assessment at LMU Law

    LMU Law Vice President and Dean Matthew R. Lyon has named Assistant Professor of Law Katie Jones director of academic success and assessment at LMU Law. Jones, a member of the faculty since 2017, will helm LMU Law's robust Academic Success Program, which is designed to enable students to develop and apply legal knowledge and essential lawyering skills.

  • Gill Named Associate Dean For Academic Affairs at LMU Law

    Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law (LMU Law) Vice President and Dean Matthew R. Lyon has named William Gill associate dean for academic affairs. Gill joined LMU as a visiting professor in 2015. Since 2018, Gill has served as the director of legal writing and assessment. He teaches courses in the areas of immigration, legal writing, academic success, state constitutional law and bar-exam preparation.
