PA students may need timely access to and/or referrals for services addressing personal issues that could impact academic progression. LMU-SMS provides several avenues of support, including Academic Advising, Counseling, Student Success Coaching, and Accessible Education Services.
LMU is committed to ensuring accessibility for students with disabilities. Students may self-refer to the Office of Accessible Education Services or be referred by faculty. Reasonable accommodations are provided in accordance with University policy.
LMU Career Services supports students with curriculum vitae development, job application guidance, and interview preparation. Appointments may be scheduled through the Career Services website.
The Office of Student Financial Services assists students with all aspects of financial aid. Appointments may be scheduled via phone at 423.869.6336 or by emailing: finaid@LMUnet.edu.
Students may purchase LMU apparel, gifts, and textbooks through the official LMU Bookstore.
PA students must maintain personal health insurance. Students may opt in or opt out of UnitedHealthcare Student Resources (UHCSR). If a student does not opt out, their account is automatically billed. UHCSR provides access to a network of healthcare providers.
Students are responsible for selecting a primary care provider who accepts their insurance. LMU-SMS faculty are prohibited from providing medical care or prescription refills, except in emergencies.
The Registrar’s Office offers helpful resources and forms related to course schedules, major declarations, transcripts, and other enrollment needs. Contact the Registrar’s Office if you have questions or need assistance.

LMU Information Services, including a dedicated representative at all LMU campuses, provides technology support. Loaner laptops are available for test days if a student’s computer malfunctions. Support requests may be submitted via phone (after-hours only) or the LMU website.
The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) offers training and resources for LMU’s online learning platforms and instructional technology.
PA students have access to a dedicated medical librarian who assists with full-text journals, e-textbooks, literature searches, and platforms such as PubMed. Library services are provided through the Carnegie-Vincent Library (CVL) and Reed Health Sciences Library (RHSL), supporting all LMU students regardless of location.
