Lincoln Memorial University will return to normal operations, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, and will operate on a regular schedule at all locations, including J. Frank White Academy.
While conditions have improved, the University cannot monitor every roadway or local condition at all times across each location. Students, faculty, and staff are asked to use their personal judgment regarding travel and safety based on current conditions in their area. Safety remains our top priority, and individuals should take appropriate precautions as needed.

Lincoln Memorial University has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit to eligible PA preceptors. Preceptors may be awarded 2 CME credits per student per weeks of clinical teaching, without limit. Approval is valid from 8/1/2024 to 8/2/2026. AAPA reference number: CME-2011909.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) is a structured educational process designed to ensure that healthcare professionals stay current with advancements in their respective fields. It involves ongoing learning and skill development beyond initial training, allowing practitioners to maintain and enhance their competence throughout their careers. CME activities encompass a variety of formats, such as conferences, workshops, online courses, precepting students, and self-directed learning. By engaging in CME, healthcare professionals stay abreast of evolving medical knowledge, technologies, and best practices and fulfill regulatory requirements, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and up-to-date patient care.
Through a partnership between the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), ARC-PA accredited PA programs may submit an application to receive eligibility to award AAPA Category 1: Individual preceptors may be awarded AA {A Category1 CME credits at a rate of 2 AA {A Category 1 CME credits per PA student per 40-hour week, with no limit. Category 2: Claimed on an hour per hour basis (i.e., if you precept 80 hours, you claim 80 Category 2 credit hours).
LMU School of Medical Sciences Physician Assistant Programs are eligible to award these credits.
