Dr. Randy Evans Veterinary Education and Technology Center

the veterinary education and technology center building

The Dr. Randy Evans Veterinary Education and Technology Center encompasses 50,955 sq. ft. of dedicated veterinary teaching space. Within the building is the Center for Innovation in Veterinary Education and Technology (CIVET) shop, where the majority of LMU’s veterinary models are designed and produced. A state-of-the-art microscope laboratory provides hands-on training in histology and pathology, while Veterinary Medical Technology (VMT) students utilize dedicated spaces for radiology, dental and surgical preparation, and surgery. DVM students also train in clinical skills spaces throughout the facility, equipped with the latest teaching tools to support skill development. The building includes feline and canine kennels, areas for small mammal support, and food preparation and storage rooms to ensure comprehensive animal care. Together, these spaces provide students with advanced resources for clinical training, model innovation, and applied veterinary practice.
