The Carter and Moyers School of Education is granted CAEP accreditation.

The Accreditation Council of the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) at its October 2020 meeting granted full CAEP accreditation to the Carter & Moyers School of Education at the initial teacher preparation and advanced preparation levels. The initial teacher preparation programs include initial teacher licensure for grades K-6, special education interventionist (K-8 or 6-12), special education comprehensive (K-12), K-12 in visual art, physical education, and 7-12 for biology, business, English, chemistry, history, and math (at the undergraduate and master's levels). Advanced preparation levels include the Master in Education programs in instructional leadership and school counseling, and Educational Specialist program for instructional leadership.

The next accreditation decision will be made Fall 2027. The Carter & Moyers School of Education will continue to focus on continuous improvement while providing programs that enhance and improve the learning of children.



The School Counseling Program and Mental Health Counseling Programs at Lincoln Memorial University are Accredited by CACREP, the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs. CACREP Accreditation is a quality review process that ensures the quality, content, and delivery of the counselor education program. The student can be assured that appropriate knowledge and skill areas are included in training and that the program is stable, and meets the highest standards of the Counseling profession.
