The LMU-DCOM buildings on both the Harrogate and Knoxville sites are secured
through an access control system. During the academic year, students may enter the
Harrogate building 24 hours, Sunday through Thursday and 6 am - 12 midnight on Friday
and Saturday. They may enter the Knoxville building 24 hours, Sunday through Saturday.
Between the weekday hours of 6 am – 6 pm, both of the buildings are open to the public.
After 6 pm on weekdays and during all weekend hours, the buildings are only accessible
through access control identification cards. On occasion, access hours are adjusted
based on student exam schedules and as needs arise. All identification cards of faculty,
staff and students are programmed for access permissions into the building, designated
classrooms and labs. All LMU students, faculty and staff are expected to wear their
University ID badge when in the LMU-DCOM building. Visitors are asked to register
with the first floor receptionists to obtain a visitor's badge.
In an effort to protect visitors, faculty and students from the harmful effects
of secondhand smoke, both of the LMU-DCOM buildings and grounds are tobacco-free zones.
No smoking is allowed in the buildings, around the buildings or grounds of LMU-DCOM.
Public (non-applicant) tours are offered by appointment. Contact the LMU-DCOM
Receptionist in Harrogate at 423.869.7200 or the DCOM at LMU-Knoxville Receptionist
at 865.338.5800 for more information.
