The ALLM offers a variety of programs for the general public, school groups, area teachers, and special interest groups.  Whether you are 0 or 99, the Museum has a program for you. Many programs focus on significant events in Lincoln's life. Some are award-winning, such as our annual October Civil War STEAM event. Tad's Tots

March 5, 2024, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Join us for Tad's Tots! This month we will be reading, "Nurse, Soldier, and Spy: The Story of Sarah Edmonds" We will be creating our very own pair of field glassess, and will go on a scavenger hunt through the museum.

Tad's Tots is a free monthly program for children 0 to Kindergarten age and their caretakers. Each 10:00 a.m. Tad's Tots include story time and a craft. Bonus activities also take place.

 

Join us for a day of Vintage Baseball!

March 23 - Noon - 2 p.m.

Take a step back in time for Vintage Baseball with the Knoxville Vintage Baseball Club! The teams will take the field at noon in vintage uniforms and play with the original baseball rules. This game will be exciting and fun for the whole family. We ask everyone to bring a non-perishable food or hygeine items for the university student pantry.

This is a free event and is open to the public!

 

Join us for the Annual Easter Egg Roll!

March 23 - 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Annual Easter Egg Roll is coming! The Easter Egg Roll has been a tradition at the White House since the 19th century. Children of all ages are invited to come and compete for prizes. There will be crafts and other activities available and Mr. Easter Bunny himself will also be on hand for the activities.

This is a free event and is open to the public!

April 12 - 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Guest author and Lincoln/Civil War expert, Jonathan W. White on April 12 at 2 p.m., White will delve into his acclaimed works, "A House Built by Slaves: African American Visitors to the Lincoln White House," and "To Address You as My Friend: African Americans' Letters to Abraham Lincoln." The lecture is entitled "Leadership in Turbulent Times: Abraham Lincoln and the Presidential Pardon Power."
