Lincoln Memorial University’s Department of Fine Arts and Communications is offering a variety of arts events this fall, following a successful summer Arts in the Gap series that brought together more than 240 participants for more than 40 workshops.
The Fall 2026 season features a variety of workshops, exhibitions and performances at the LMU Center for the Arts and the Sam and Sue Mars Performing Arts Center at Duke Hall. The events provide opportunities for community members to learn new skills, create and experience the arts.
“The LMU Department of Fine Arts and Communications is pleased to present the following arts events for the Fall 2026 semester. Fine Arts and Communications is the cultural center of the LMU community, and we invite you to be a part of our art, music and theatre presentations. We strive to bring exciting arts programming to the tri-state region and love being a part of this wonderfully creative community,” said Michael Giles, Associate Professor of Art and Chair of Fine Arts and Communications at LMU.
“Arts in the Gap is excited to extend our beloved workshops and events into the fall! We hope the community will take part and join us in getting creative this fall and winter. We can’t wait to see what folks make, learn and experience at Arts in the Gap,” said Grace Mahieu, Arts in the Gap Coordinator and Theater Assistant at LMU.
The Fall 2026 season continues through Dec. 11, with events and workshops for a variety of ages and skill levels. Several events are free and open to the public, while workshops have varying fees, age requirements and registration details.
Arts in the Gap provides opportunities for LMU and the surrounding community to connect through creativity, education and the arts. The program supports LMU’s mission of serving Appalachia by providing educational and cultural experiences for the region.
