Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) has recognized 3 outstanding graduates from the College of Mathematics, Sciences, and Health Professions (CMSHP) as part of its 40 Under Forty program, which celebrates young alumni who demonstrate strong leadership, career success and meaningful contributions to their communities.
The LMU 40 Under Forty program recognizes alumni under the age of 40 who are making an impact in their professions and communities. Honorees are selected based on professional achievement, leadership ability, service and the positive influence they bring to their organizations and industries. The recognition also reflects each recipient’s continued connection to LMU and their reputation as leaders in their field.
The program highlights the real-world impact of an LMU education while strengthening alumni engagement and connection across the university community. By sharing their success, LMU aims to inspire current students and encourage young alumni to stay involved and invested in the University’s future.

Honorees from LMU-CMSHP represent a range of industries and leadership roles, demonstrating the breadth and strength of LMU’s academic programs. Their work reflects a commitment to excellence, service and continued growth after graduation.

The following LMU-CMSHP alumni have been named to LMU’s 40 Under Forty class of 2026. Their accomplishments highlight the lasting impact of an LMU education, as each continues to lead, innovate and give back in ways that strengthen their professions, communities and the University they call home. Their continued success and connection to LMU reflect a strong and engaged alumni community that supports future generations of students.
Matthew Dunn, B.S., Environmental Science ‘09
Matthew Dunn is an accomplished energy professional who serves as a land advisor for ExxonMobil Pipeline Company at its headquarters in Houston, Texas, where he supports operations for the largest throughput crude oil pipeline in North America, transporting approximately 1.6 million barrels of crude oil per day to Gulf Coast refineries. With 16 years of industry experience, he has worked across multiple states, including Pennsylvania, West Virginia, California, New Mexico, and Texas. Dunn holds several distinguished certifications, including Certified Professional Landman, Senior Right of Way Professional, and Project Management Professional, demonstrating his expertise in land management and project execution. He credits his time as a lifeguard at Lincoln Memorial University with helping him develop the discipline, responsibility, and teamwork skills that continue to guide his professional success.
Mason Goad, B.S., Exercise Science ‘15
Mason Goad is a strength and conditioning professional and educator who supports student performance and wellness as strength and conditioning coach and assistant athletic director at Claiborne High School, while also serving as director of performance at Elevation Sports Performance and vice president of physical education and health for TAHPERD. After graduation, he continued his education by earning a Master of Applied Exercise Science in strength and conditioning from Concordia University Chicago and holds industry certifications including USA Weightlifting Level 1 and International Sports Sciences Association. Goad founded Claiborne County Schools Elite Fitness Day to promote health, competition, and student engagement across the county. He remains closely connected to Lincoln Memorial University through his service as a board member and presenter for TAHPERD, where he mentors and supports physical education student-teachers. His career includes developing collegiate-level athletes across multiple sports and earning a top 10 global ranking in the DEKA Strong division, reflecting his commitment to high performance and community impact.
Kelsey Edwards Gray, B.S., Biology ’13, MMS, Physician Assistant Studies ‘18
Kelsey Edwards Gray, a graduate of LMU-College of Mathematics, Sciences, and Health Professions and the LMU-School of Medical Sciences, is a licensed physician assistant in both Virginia and New York with more than seven years of experience in women’s health. She currently provides outpatient and inpatient obstetrics and gynecology care with HCA Healthcare Commonwealth OB/GYN Specialists, where she focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and empowering women to be active participants in their health. Gray served as a frontline provider during the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City and continues to support her community through her work in hospital settings. She holds advanced certifications including Advanced Cardiac Life Support and electronic fetal monitoring, and remains active in the profession through membership in the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Committed to mentorship and education, she supports PA and nurse practitioner students as they prepare to deliver evidence-based care and works with practice leadership to improve clinic efficiency.
