The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Student Government Association (SGA) has confirmed its executive leadership team for the 2025–26 academic year. These student leaders will serve as the voice of the student body, helping guide campus initiatives and representing student interests across the university.

The transition was marked by the annual Swear-In Ceremony held March 31 in the Hamilton Math & Science Building. The event officially recognized the incoming officers and celebrated their commitment to service and leadership.

The 2025–26 SGA executive officers are Delaney Porter, student body president; Samuel Kennedy, student body vice president; Alex Williams, speaker of the senate; Josie Rasmussen, executive director of administration; Tyler Hensley, executive director of finance; and Faith Jacobs, executive director of engagement.

SGA plays a crucial role in fostering communication and collaboration between students, faculty, staff, and university administration. Dedicated to enhancing the student experience, the organization champions student needs and works to cultivate an inclusive and engaging learning environment at LMU.

Structured to ensure broad representation, SGA includes an executive cabinet and a student senate that represents the entire student body and every undergraduate club and organization. The executive cabinet leads the strategic vision of the organization senators who propose and vote on student-centered legislation.

“Student Government provides a unique platform to create meaningful change, build stronger connections across campus, and empower student voices,” said Porter. “I am incredibly honored and excited to serve as student body president. I’m ready to lead with purpose and help SGA make a lasting impact on our LMU community.”

“I am proud of the work done by the outgoing executive cabinet. I believe strongly that they built a solid foundation on which the incoming executive cabinet can continue to propel student voices forward,” said Assistant Dean of Students Dawson Delph, who serves as SGA advisor. “The incoming executive cabinet is eager to hit the ground running and is already working behind the scenes to advance the student agenda in anticipation of the 2025-2026 academic year.”

As the new executive cabinet begins its term following the adoption of a revised SGA Constitution, LMU looks forward to the innovative ideas and initiatives that will continue shaping the student experience for years to come.
