Dr. Jimenez, Professor of Medical Education, serves as the Senior Associate Dean of IPE, Simulation and Accreditation at Lincoln Memorial University Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) located in Harrogate and Knoxville, Tennessee. She is responsible for administrative and operational oversight of the multi-campus Center for Interprofessional Education and Simulation (CIPES). She is also responsible for strategic planning and accreditation for DCOM and serves as an accreditation evaluator for the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA).. In December 2022 LMU-DCOM was awarded 10 years of accreditation with Exceptional Outcome from the COCA, the highest determination an osteopathic medical college can receive.

 

Dr. Jimenez received her doctorate in Education-Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University, Rochester NY. She has worked in pharmacy education (clinical education) and assessment, was the founding Assistant Dean of Educational Development at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) and served as the University’s Assistant Provost at two years later before heading to LMU-DCOM. She serves on various committees through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) and the National Academies of Practice (NAP), is Board President for both the LMU Women of Service and Tennessee Interprofessional Practice and Education Consortium (TIPEC). She is a certified health care simulation educator (CHSE), National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators (NAOME) Fellow, and a NAP Distinguished Scholar Fellow in the Physician Academy, and. Dr. Jimenez has presented her work and collaborations at national and international meetings. She is the 2023 recipient of the Rural Health Association of Tennessee (RHAT) Exemplary Project Award. In her spare time, she enjoys her family most of all, sporting clays and steel challenge competitions, and hiking with her Rhodesian Ridgeback.
