Dr. Jimenez, Professor of Medical Education, is a distinguished leader in medical education, simulation, and accreditation. She currently serves as the Senior Associate Dean of Interprofessional Education (IPE), Simulation, and Accreditation at Lincoln Memorial University-Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM), which operates campuses in Harrogate and Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, she provides administrative and operational oversight for the multi-campus Center for Interprofessional Education and Simulation (CIPES).

Dr. Jimenez is a nationally recognized expert in accreditation, serving as an evaluator for the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA). Her leadership was instrumental in LMU-DCOM being awarded 10 years of accreditation with Exceptional Outcome from COCA in December 2022—the highest possible determination for an osteopathic medical college. Prior to LMU-DCOM, Dr. Jimenez was the founding Assistant Dean of Educational Development at Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) and quickly ascended to serve as the University’s Assistant Provost two years later. Her professional background also includes significant experience in pharmacy education, clinical education, and assessment.

A dedicated scholar, Dr. Jimenez holds a Doctorate in Education-Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and a fellow of the National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators (NAOME). She is also recognized as a Distinguished Scholar Fellow in the Physician Academy by the National Academies of Practice (NAP). Dr. Jimenez is highly engaged in the academic community, serving on various committees through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) and NAP. She is the past-President of the Board of Directors for the LMU Women of Service and the Tennessee Interprofessional Practice and Education Consortium (TIPEC). In 2023, she received the Exemplary Project Award from the Rural Health Association of Tennessee (RHAT). Her research and collaborations have been presented at numerous national and international meetings. In her spare time, Dr. Jimenez enjoys spending time with her family, participating in sporting clays and steel challenge competitions, and hiking with her Rhodesian Ridgeback.
