With the beautiful Cumberland Gap mountains serving as the backdrop, LMU-DCOM is one of the most prominent buildings on campus. LMU-DCOM currently offers programs in two locations: Harrogate, TN and Knoxville, TN. A third location will open in Orange Park, FL July 2026. Quality educational programs are delivered through experienced faculty utilizing innovative teaching methods and state-of-the-art technology. LMU-DCOM is fully committed to meeting the health care needs of the community and beyond with excellence in teaching, patient care and services.
LMU-DCOM was established in 2007 in Harrogate, Tennessee, with the mission of placing primary care doctors in Appalachia and the surrounding area. Since then it has graduated thousands of doctors, many of whom work in East Tennessee and the surrounding states.
DCOM at LMU-Knoxville offers the same four-year, full-time academic and clinical program as offered at the LMU-DCOM Harrogate campus granting the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. The LMU-Knoxville campus opened its doors to a class of 125 in fall 2019.
DCOM at LMU-Orange Park will open in the fall of 2026, bringing the first medical school to the Jacksonville, FL area. With LMU-DCOM’s mission of placing primary care physicians in areas of health care needs, the new campus will be a welcome addition to the rapidly growing First Coast.
