UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS

The School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences is home to some of LMU's most diverse and historical majors in the fields of Communication and Fine Arts, Language and Literature, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Social Work.

GRADUATE PROGRAMS

LMU's Master of Public Administration Program (MPA) and Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ) are offered in flexible formats through the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.  LMU's forthcoming Master of Science in Psychology (MSP) will be offered exclusively online.

In addition to liberal arts degree programs, minors, and graduate programs the Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences is home to Arts in the GapMusic at LMU, the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC)Theatre program and Pre-Law Majors.  A number of student clubs also have their homes with the School, including the English Honor Society Sigma Tau Delta, SHARE club (Social Work) the LMU History Club, the Alpha Beta Epsilon Chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association, and the Mu Nu chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the international honor society in history.

Through articles, books, conference submissions, performance pieces, visual art and a variety of media instructors advance learning in their own fields and enhance academic life at LMU.

Man with saxophone jumping. November 4, 2022 Saxophonist Derek Brown to Perform at Lincoln Memorial University

The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences will host Billboard-charting saxophonist and musical innovator Derek Brown in concert on Monday, November 7, 2022. He will perform at 7 p.m. in the Duke Hall of Citizenship, Sam & Sue Mars Performing Arts Center. It is free and open to the public.

The Odd Couple logo November 4, 2022 LMU Players To Perform 'The Odd Couple'

The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences and The LMU Players will present a dinner theatre production of “The Odd Couple,” November 10 and November 12, in the Cumberland Gap Convention Center (601 Colwyn Street). Limited tickets are available through Eventbrite. The dinner will begin each night at 6 p.m. and the show at 7:30 p.m.

The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Paul V. Hamilton School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences will host multi-award winning Welsh folk band Calan in performance. The concert will be Thursday, October 13, 2022, at 7 p.m. in the Duke Hall of Citizenship, Sam & Sue Mars Performing Arts Center. It is free and open to the public.
