Institutional Review Board (IRB)

About the Institutional Review Board

In compliance with federal regulations (45 CFR 46) and the University's OHRP-issued Federal-wide Assurance, Lincoln Memorial University's Institutional Review Board must review all projects involving human subjects. The chairperson or one or more IRB members designated by the chairperson may determine one of three actions: exempt, expedited review or full board review. All projects that do not qualify for exempt or expedited review will undergo full board review.

IRB Meeting Information

  • Committee meets the second Thursday of each month, meeting dates are subject to change
  • Exempt and expedited proposals may be submitted at any time
  • All materials for Full Review (greater than minimal risk) must be submitted 10 business days before the scheduled monthly meeting
