Welcome to LMU-OPVM! Our vision for an innovative, community-oriented Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program takes a significant step forward with the receipt of the Letter of Reasonable Assurance from the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education. We are now accepting applications for the Class of 2029 and look forward to welcoming students to campus in June 2026.
At LMU-OPCVM, our commitment to excellence in veterinary education is built on innovation, compassion, and a dedication to student growth and achievement. From the very beginning, our curriculum integrates clinical experience, research, and professional development, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to thrive in a dynamic and evolving profession. Partnerships with local animal shelters, the Bronson Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (BADDL), and a strong clinical affiliate network will provide authentic, hands-on opportunities that extend learning well beyond the classroom.
We believe that growth—fostered through compassionate accountability, appreciative inquiry, and collaborative engagement—is the cornerstone of veterinary education. Our environment is designed to support not only the development of knowledge and skill, but also the confidence, adaptability, and resilience needed to serve animals, people, and communities with excellence.
Whether you are a prospective student, future partner, or member of the veterinary profession, I invite you to join us as we shape a new model of veterinary education. Together, we will prepare competent, confident, and compassionate graduates who are ready to advance the profession and serve society.
