Harrogate, Tennessee, July 18, 2017 —The J. Frank White Academy (JFWA) received a glowing report from AdvancED officials who reviewed the school during a site visit in April. The review resulted in JFWA being accredited for the next five years.

The AdvancED accreditation team evaluated and scored the Academy, which serves grades four through 12, on categories including teaching and learning impact, leadership capacity and resource utilization. The Academy’s overall score of 391.03 out of a possible 400.00 was well above the 286.27 average for all AdvancED accredited schools.
JFWA scored a 392.86 in teaching and learning, compared to the average of 268.48; 390.91 in leadership capacity against the average of 293.71 and 385.71 in resource utilization, compared to the average of 286.27. AdvancED examined every aspect of the Academy’s operations and interviewed stakeholders including parents, students, teacher and administrators. In addition to the interviews, the team observed lessons and classroom interactions.
ELEOT software was utilized to evaluate the student experience at JFWA during the accreditation visit. Through those observations and the following analysis, the team scored JFWA higher in every category than the network average for AdvancED accredited schools.
