“Our community college partnerships are vitally important to the University,” said Conrad Daniels, director of community college relations and veteran services at LMU. “Historically, some of our best and brightest graduates have come to us after the community college experience. This is another opportunity for the University to fulfill its mission by providing further educational opportunities for these students.”
Lee was selected by officials at Mountain Empire Community College (MECC) to receive the award based on his academic performance, leadership activities and desire to attend LMU. He was selected to serve as MECC diplomat and ambassador, selected to the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and served as the secretary of the travel club.
Lee plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in biology on the pre-med track at LMU. Since the very beginning of his academic career at Thomas Walker High School, Lee has aspired to become a physician. He plans to join the pre-health society at LMU and get involved with the community.
