LMU Music Program to Host Henderson and Pearlman Duo
The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Music Program will present a concert by the Shetland fiddler Kevin Henderson and American pianist Neil Pearlman on Monday, Feb. 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sam and Sue Mars Performing Arts Center in Duke Hall of Citizenship. The concert is free to the public.
Two stand-out artists in the world of Celtic music, Henderson and Pearlman have joined forces to form one of the most exciting new acts in the Celtic music world. The duo is launching their debut album, “Burden Lake,” with tours of the U.S. and U.K. Henderson's Shetland fiddle playing is both fiery and sensitive, while Pearlman's piano style supports with lush harmonies and syncopated, driving rhythm. The album features several new tunes composed by both musicians, as well as traditional Shetland melodies.
