Graduation Fee and Residential Credits Forthcoming
In response to the cancelation of all commencement ceremonies for Spring 2020, students will receive a credit to their student account for all graduation fees. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a future commencement ceremony for up to two years. In order to participate in a future ceremony, the student will need to complete an application to participate through the Registrar’s office and pay the graduation fee by the established deadline.
Residential students who have officially checked out with Residence Life by Sunday, March 29, should also expect to see an adjustment for room and board charges to their student account. The adjustment will be pro-rated based on the time remaining in the semester. Please keep in mind that while all students who are no longer in student housing will receive an adjusted rate, not all students will receive a refund check. This situation is more complicated than it may seem. Many students receive some form of financial aid. Some of it covers all or a portion of room and board charges. Thus, each student’s account will have to be evaluated separately based on the student’s individual situation. These adjustments will be made as quickly as possible. Adjustments will not be made for students who choose to remain in the residence halls after Sunday, March 29.
