Lincoln Memorial University donors have committed nearly $595,000 in gifts and pledge commitments to support scholarships, academic programs and student success initiatives across the university.
The generosity of LMU supporters was celebrated during the university's second annual Donor Gala, held Sept. 17 at The Press Room in Knoxville. The event brought together donors, trustees, university leadership and friends of LMU for an evening highlighting the impact philanthropy has on students and the university's mission.
Throughout the evening, deans from across the university shared stories of student achievement, academic innovation and program growth, demonstrating how donor support is transforming lives and creating opportunities for current and future students. Their testimonials offered guests a firsthand look at the many ways philanthropy strengthens the LMU experience and advances the university's commitment to educational excellence.
The gala featured Heather Waliga, former WBIR anchor and co-founder of WeKnowPeople Media, as emcee. Guests also heard from keynote speaker Captain Mike Abrashoff, former naval commander and bestselling author, whose message of leadership, service and organizational excellence inspired attendees to consider the lasting impact of investing in others.

"Thank you to all our donors who are supporting our mission. We're so excited to see how we can work together to make an even greater impact for students this year."
The $595,000 in gifts and pledge commitments will support students and programs across LMU, helping provide scholarships, enhance learning opportunities and strengthen initiatives that prepare graduates to lead and serve in their professions and communities.
