Lincoln Memorial University has been recognized as a 2026-2027 College of Distinction, a national honor that highlights the University's dedication to engaged learning, student achievement and career readiness.
In addition to its institutional recognition, LMU earned specialized distinctions in Business, Education, Nursing, Career Development and Affordability. These honors are awarded by Colleges of Distinction, a national organization that identifies colleges and universities that excel in providing exceptional undergraduate experiences and strong student outcomes.
The recognition marks the sixth consecutive year LMU has been selected by Colleges of Distinction, underscoring the University's continued focus on delivering a transformative educational experience.

The LMU School of Business was recognized for connecting classroom learning with practical experience through programs in marketing, accounting and entrepreneurship. Its emphasis on ethical leadership, innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration contributed to its distinction.
The LMU Carter and Moyers School of Education earned recognition for its immersive field experiences, personalized academic support and commitment to preparing future educators. Students begin gaining hands-on classroom experience early in their academic careers and graduate ready to make an impact in diverse educational settings.
The Caylor School of Nursing was honored for its excellence in clinical education, dedicated faculty and strong student outcomes. Through early clinical exposure, advanced simulation experiences and a curriculum grounded in both nursing and the liberal arts, students develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today's healthcare environment.
LMU also received the Affordable College of Distinction designation, recognizing the University's commitment to providing a high-quality education at a strong value. The Career Development distinction highlights LMU's comprehensive approach to career preparation, including experiential learning opportunities, internships, professional development resources and career placement support.
Colleges of Distinction evaluates institutions based on student engagement, teaching effectiveness, campus community and successful outcomes. Known collectively as the Four Distinctions, these criteria focus on the educational practices that have the greatest impact on student success.
