The Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum (ALLM) is pleased to announce that it will host the third annual Mary Lincoln Strawberry Party on Saturday, June 6 at 1 p.m. The event is open to the public and invites guests of all ages to participate.
Strawberry parties were a fashionable social tradition during Abraham Lincoln’s years in Springfield and Washington, DC. The Mary Lincoln Strawberry Party, hosted at the LMU Springhouse behind the museum, will include Abraham Lincoln–related items as well as tea and traditional high tea refreshments. Attendees are encouraged to wear tea attire to contribute to the event’s historical ambiance. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be moved indoors to the museum.
This is a ticketed event, with tickets priced at $10 per person. Children 10 years of age and younger will be admitted free of charge. Tickets may be reserved using the link below.
