Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) announces leadership transitions within the Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) and across its health sciences programs, reflecting both appreciation for past service and confidence in the university’s continued momentum.
LMU is one of the nation’s leading providers of health professions education, with programs across osteopathic medicine, veterinary medicine, physician assistant studies and other high-demand fields preparing graduates to serve communities regionally and nationwide.
Dr. Christopher Loyke, dean and chief academic officer of LMU-DCOM, has accepted a leadership position at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (ARCOM). He joined LMU in 2018 as assistant dean of clinical medicine and advanced through multiple leadership roles during his tenure.
Under Loyke’s leadership, LMU-DCOM experienced continued growth and strong student outcomes while building a highly effective academic and administrative team. The college operates with approximately 170 full- and part-time faculty and staff supporting nearly 1,800 students. During his tenure, LMU-DCOM saw continued success in accreditation, board performance, student satisfaction, and faculty and staff engagement.
“Dr. Loyke has played an important role in strengthening LMU-DCOM and advancing our mission,” said LMU President Dr. Jason McConnell. “He helped build a high-functioning leadership team and a culture focused on student success and outcomes.”
The transition also reflects LMU’s continued investment in the strength and coordination of its health sciences programs as enrollment and program offerings expand across multiple campuses.
Dr. Mark Browne has been named chief administrative officer for health sciences and will support the continued growth and alignment of LMU’s health professions portfolio.
Browne joined LMU-DCOM in July 2023 and has held multiple leadership roles supporting clinical education and graduate medical education. Prior to joining LMU, he served for more than a decade as senior vice president and chief medical officer for Covenant Health, where he led system-wide clinical quality, physician engagement, and performance improvement initiatives across a large regional health system. A physician trained in internal medicine and pediatrics, he brings more than two decades of executive healthcare leadership experience.
His appointment reflects a broader emphasis on integration across LMU’s health sciences programs, with a focus on strengthening consistency in student experience, clinical training, and outcomes.
“LMU has built a strong and growing health sciences enterprise with a clear mission and real impact,” Browne said. “My priority is to build on that foundation by strengthening alignment across programs and campuses, supporting continued growth, and ensuring we deliver the outcomes our students and the communities we serve expect from us.”
Dr. Teanna Moore has been named dean and chief academic officer of LMU-DCOM. She currently serves as campus dean in Harrogate. She joined LMU in 2021 and previously served as department chair of osteopathic principles and practice. Since January 2024, she has also served as associate dean of osteopathic integration, helping guide curriculum development and academic coordination.
Her progression through academic and administrative roles reflects a deep familiarity with LMU-DCOM’s students, faculty, and instructional model, as well as a strong alignment with the college’s mission.
Moore earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Pikeville–Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed an integrated residency in family medicine and osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine. Her background in primary care and osteopathic training supports LMU-DCOM’s focus on preparing physicians to serve rural and underserved communities.
“LMU-DCOM has a clear purpose and a strong foundation built by its faculty, staff and leadership,” Moore said. “I am honored to step into this role and look forward to building on that work by strengthening our academic programs, supporting our students, and continuing to prepare graduates who are ready to serve where they are needed most.”
McConnell said the transitions position LMU for continued success as demand for health professionals grows nationwide.
“LMU-DCOM remains a national leader in osteopathic medical education,” McConnell said. “These leadership transitions reflect both the strength of our current team and our commitment to continued growth, strong student outcomes and meaningful impact in the communities our graduates will serve.”
