The Lincoln Memorial University-Caylor School of Nursing (LMU-CSON) will serve as the presenting sponsor for the second annual Run for the Scrubs 5K, set for Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville.
Hosted by the Epsilon Sigma at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the event supports nursing scholarships across the region. Sigma is the second-largest nursing organization in the world and is dedicated to advancing global nursing excellence.
“Investing in nursing education strengthens our health care workforce and ensures high-quality care for communities across the region,” said Stephanie Conder, DNP, FNP-BC, CNE, associate professor at LMU-CSON and president of the Epsilon Sigma at-Large Chapter.
The Epsilon Sigma at-Large Chapter supports five premier institutions: LMU, East Tennessee State University, Milligan University, King University and Emory & Henry University. All proceeds from the Run for the Scrubs 5K will fund scholarships for nursing students at these universities, directly investing in the next generation of health care professionals.
