The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business announces Technology for Energy Corporation (TEC-USA) as the title sponsor for the 2026 Advances in Business Education (ABE) Conference, marking an exciting partnership rooted in alumni leadership and regional impact.
The conference, Advances in Business Education: Promoting Teaching Excellence Through Innovation and Collaboration, will take place May 21-22, 2026. Hosted by LMU’s School of Business, the annual event brings together educators and scholars dedicated to strengthening business education through innovative ideas, research and collaboration.
TEC-USA is led by LMU alumnus Mitch Turner, who earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 2006. Turner has maintained close ties to the university, and the title sponsorship reflects both his continued engagement and the company’s commitment to supporting higher education in the region.
Headquartered in Knoxville, TEC-USA is an employee-owned engineering firm that designs and manufactures diagnostic instruments serving diverse industries. Through its five divisions, RadioBro, Aviation, Materials Testing, Nuclear Products, and Electric Power, the company provides technical expertise across critical sectors, reflecting a culture of innovation that aligns with the goals of the ABE Conference.
The ABE Conference supports LMU’s mission to serve the Appalachian region by providing quality educational opportunities and meaningful professional development for business faculty. By fostering dialogue around effective teaching strategies and emerging trends, the conference equips educators to better prepare the next generation of business leaders.
“We are deeply thankful to TEC for their generous support as the Title Sponsor of the Advances in Business Education Conference,” said Kelsey Metz, dean of the School of Business. “Their partnership exemplifies the spirit of collaboration that drives progress in business education and empowers educators, scholars and students alike. We are proud to work alongside organizations that value learning and the future of our discipline.”
