The Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) invites alumni, students, faculty, health care professionals and community partners to tee up for a cause at the 18th Annual Golden Scalpel Golf Tournament on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Woodlake Lodge Golf and Country Club in Tazewell.
Part friendly competition and part meaningful mission, the Golden Scalpel Golf Tournament has grown into a favorite annual tradition for the LMU-DCOM community. Each spring, participants take to the course for a day of camaraderie and connection that supports student programs and institutional initiatives to strengthen medical education and help prepare future osteopathic physicians to serve in communities where they are needed most.
Golfers may register as a team of four or individually, with special pricing available for LMU-DCOM students and alumni. Teams of four are $600, student or alumni teams are $500, individual golfers are $150 and individual student or alumni golfers are $125. Participants may also indicate a preference for morning or afternoon flight times.
Community partners and businesses are also invited to take part through a variety of sponsorship opportunities. Sponsorship levels range from Title and Award Sponsors to Range, Green, Company, Prize and Tee Sponsors, each offering opportunities for visibility through signage, media promotion and recognition during the tournament awards ceremony.
Proceeds from the Golden Scalpel Golf Tournament directly benefit LMU-DCOM students and programs through the Golden Scalpel Endowed Scholarship which helps ensure the next generation of physicians is equipped with the knowledge, experience, and resources needed to improve health care access across Appalachia and beyond.
