LMU School of Business Earns ACBSP Accreditation for DBA Program

Dr. Josh Ray

The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business has earned full accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) for its Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program.

The accreditation affirms the School of Business’s commitment to academic excellence, continuous improvement and high-quality, student-centered doctoral education. The ACBSP review included an evaluation of the program’s curriculum, faculty qualifications, scholarly activity, assessment practices and alignment with LMU’s mission. The accreditation effort was led by Dr. Kelsey Metz, dean of the School of Business, and Dr. Joshua Ray, assistant dean and director of business doctoral programs.

“We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment and deeply appreciative of the faculty, staff, and leadership whose efforts made this possible,” said Metz. “The accreditation of our DBA program reinforces LMU’s dedication to offering rigorous, mission-aligned doctoral education that prepares graduates to lead, innovate, and create meaningful impact in their organizations and communities.”

ACBSP accreditation follows the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program model.  The accreditation emphasizes teaching excellence, determining student learning outcomes, and a continuous improvement model. The organization’s student-centered approach ensures programs are evaluated for quality and effectiveness.

Institutions with ACBSP-accredited programs demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and to providing graduates with skills aligned with employer needs. ACBSP standards are modeled on the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence and reflect management practices used by high-performing higher education institutions.
