The Lincoln Memorial University-Caylor School of Nursing (LMU-CSON) is expanding its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) nurse anesthesia program to Tampa, Florida, through a new hybrid distance education program in partnership with Advent Health.
The distance education program will allow students to complete the didactic portion of the program fully online, participate in intensive on-site sessions and complete clinical rotations in the greater Tampa area. With this expansion, LMU is seeking approval to increase enrollment by 25 students.
“Our DNP nurse anesthesia program already provides rigorous, evidence-based training that prepares graduates to deliver safe, ethical and advanced patient care,” said Tammy Dean, dean of LMU-CSON. “This programmatic change to offer didactic courses in an online format allows us to reach more students while responding to the critical need for anesthesia providers.”
