The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business will launch a graduate certificate in Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) in spring 2026. The 18-credit-hour, fully online program equips business professionals with practical skills to apply artificial intelligence across organizational and interdisciplinary settings.
The curriculum includes six three-credit-hour courses: Artificial Intelligence for Business Executives, The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, AI Strategy and Governance, AI Tools for Business Innovation, The Future of AI: The Intelligence Revolution, and AI-Driven Decision-Making and Analytics. Admission requirements mirror those of LMU’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) programs.
The certificate is designed for professionals seeking AI expertise without committing to a full master’s degree and for individuals with advanced credentials, such as an MBA or Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), who want to deepen their understanding of AI’s impact on organizational structures, processes, and innovation. Business leaders, consultants, and analysts can use the program to strengthen their ability to leverage AI across functional areas.
The program also benefits faculty seeking 18 graduate credit hours in business to meet accreditation requirements. Faculty in fields such as information systems, data science, and engineering can earn formal business credentialing while expanding their understanding of AI’s role in business strategy, operations, and decision-making.
The Graduate Certificate in Applied Artificial Intelligence marks a significant expansion of the Lincoln Memorial University School of Business academic portfolio and aligns with the growing demand for AI expertise in business leadership.” Said Dr. Kelsey Metz, dean of the School of Business. “This certificate program serves as a specialized offering within the broader initiative to integrate Applied Artificial Intelligence into the School of Business curriculum.”
