LMU School of Business Launches MBA Concentration in Applied AI

School of Business

The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business has introduced an Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) concentration within its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. The concentration was developed under the leadership of Dr. Kelsey Metz, dean of the School of Business; Dr. Richard Lane, MBA/MSBA program director; and Dr. Joshua Ray, assistant dean and director of business doctoral programs.

The Applied AI concentration prepares professionals to lead in an era where artificial intelligence is transforming industries and business strategy. The curriculum integrates foundational AI knowledge with applications in marketing, finance, operations and product development. Students gain practical experience with AI tools to analyze data, predict trends and improve decision-making, while addressing ethical and governance considerations.

“LMU is proud to be among the first schools of business to offer an applied AI program focused on strategic integration across organizations,” said Metz. “This concentration equips professionals to lead responsibly as artificial intelligence continues to reshape the business landscape.”

Courses in the concentration include:

- Artificial Intelligence for Business Executives

- The Ethics of Artificial Intelligence

- AI Strategy and Governance

- AI Tools for Business Innovation

- The Future of AI: The Intelligence Revolution

The LMU MBA program offers a 36-hour, fully online curriculum designed for working professionals and recent graduates seeking to advance their business expertise.
