Applications for Run for Scrubs Scholarship Open Soon

Run for Scrubs Runners

Students at the Lincoln Memorial University-Caylor School of Nursing will soon have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship funded by proceeds from the 2025 Run for the Scrubs 5K.

Organized in partnership with the Epsilon Sigma at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the event raised $10,000 to support scholarships for nursing students across the region.

“Run for the Scrubs is a way to bring the community together to invest in the future of nursing,” said Stephanie Conder, associate professor of nursing at LMU, race director, and president of the Epsilon Sigma chapter. “Every step taken in this race helps fund scholarships for students working hard to join this great profession.”

The scholarship application will open soon, with a deadline set for March 15. Eligible LMU nursing students are encouraged to apply. Information and updates will be posted at www.lmunet.edu/caylor-school-of-nursing/sigma-theta-tau.

The 5K was held Sept. 13 at Victor Ashe Park in Knoxville and drew support from community members, students, faculty, alumni, sponsors and donors.
