The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business earned first place in the Dr. Brenda B. Johnson Poster Competition at the 2025 Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) National Conference in Las Vegas.

The winning submission, “From Data to Action: A Six-Phase Framework for Data-Informed Curriculum Enhancement,” was recognized for excellence in continuous improvement through best practices in curriculum design and quality enhancement.

The poster was presented by Dr. Kelsey Metz, dean of the School of Business, alongside Ms. April Anderson, director of accreditation, assessment and operations; Dr. Joshua Ray, assistant dean and director of business doctoral programs; Dr. Richard Lane, MBA/MSBA program director; and Dr. Lisa Cox, undergraduate department chair.

“My team and I were honored to receive first place in the Dr. Brenda B. Johnson Poster Competition at the 2025 ACBSP National Conference, hosted in partnership with Peregrine Global Services,” said Metz. “Our submission highlighted our commitment to improving student outcomes through data-driven curriculum enhancements and intentional strategies to engage faculty as key drivers of the improvement process.”

The competition is named in memory of Dr. Brenda B. Johnson, a leader in business education and a passionate advocate for quality enhancement. The award recognizes institutions that demonstrate best practices in assurance of learning and innovation in academic programming. As part of recognition, LMU received a $500 donation to a nonprofit of its choice.

Metz praised her colleagues for their commitment to academic excellence, noting, “I am grateful for the LMU School of Business faculty whose dedication continues to shape a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within our programs.”
