The Lincoln Memorial University-Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) has named Victoria Susong as director of veterinary technical staff at the DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center (DVTC).

An alumna of LMU, Susong earned a bachelor’s degree in wildlife and fisheries biology before completing a master’s degree in biology at East Tennessee State University. Before joining LMU-CVM as an employee, Susong worked with Kentucky Heartwood, conducting acoustic bat surveys to study how endangered species use national forests.

Susong previously served as coordinator of large animal clinical activities at LMU-CVM, where she worked closely with doctors of veterinary medicine to ensure the DVTC herd animals received proper care. In her new role, Susong will oversee veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff. She will also serve as a liaison between faculty and staff to ensure clear communication and efficient workflow.

“A key priority for me is building a strong sense of teamwork by encouraging collaboration across all areas, while also cultivating a positive and supportive workplace culture,” Susong said.

“Victoria Susong has been an essential member of the DeBusk Veterinary Teaching Center staff,” said Executive Dean Stacy Anderson. “We look forward to her stepping into this role and guiding the rest of our impressive veterinary staff.”
