Lincoln Memorial University-Caylor School of Nursing (LMU-CSON) 2022 graduate Faith Jones received the May 2024 DAISY Award at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The DAISY Award celebrates extraordinary nurses through nominations from patients, families, and co-workers. An anonymous parent said, “She made a scary stay a lot easier for me as a mom. Her smile and personality really lit up the room and let you know everything was going to be okay.”
Jones, a BSN graduate and RN at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital has demonstrated the values and skills that LMU strives to instill in its students. Her commitment to providing compassionate care has made a difference in the lives of her patients and their families.
As part of the award, Jones received a certificate in a DAISY portfolio, a hand-carved Healer’s Touch Sculpture from Zimbabwe, an Honoree pin, a congratulations banner, a copy of her nomination, a gift bag, and cinnamon rolls to share with her colleagues. Her name will also be added to the DAISY Foundation’s website, where she will be eligible for various professional development, education, and wellness benefits.
