Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) announces the 50th anniversary of its esteemed Nursing Program. Since its inception in 1974, the program has consistently provided top-quality education to aspiring nurses, earning a reputation for excellence and innovation in health care education.
Over the past five decades, LMU's Nursing Program has grown exponentially, distinguishing itself with its unique approach to meeting the ever-changing demands of the health care industry. The program began with a mission to fill a gap in nursing education, leading to the introduction of the Associate of Science in Nursing.
Since then, the program has expanded rapidly to include a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral offerings, including its well-respected Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees.
The program has also been at the forefront of incorporating cutting-edge technology and evidence-based practices into its curriculum, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared for the current health care environment and equipped to lead and innovate in the future. LMU's Nursing Program boasts a remarkable job placement rate, with alumni working in diverse health care settings across the country and around the world.
“The 50th anniversary of our Nursing Program is a real testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved,” said Dean Tammy Dean “I’ve watched our program grow and develop and I am so proud of the positive impact we have made on health care. LMU has always been committed to providing education that serves our community, and our nursing graduates exemplify this mission.”
In celebration of the 50th anniversary, LMU is planning a series of exciting events. The first will be held this October during homecoming week at LMU’s main campus in Harrogate, TN, with more to follow in the spring semester at LMU Tower in Knoxville, TN. Stay tuned for the exact dates and join us in commemorating this significant milestone.
