Dr. Denise Terese-Koch

Dr. Denise Terese-Koch, founding dean and chief academic officer of Lincoln Memorial University-College of Dental Medicine (LMU-CDM), has been selected as the President of the Center for Research and Education in Technology (CRET).

As President of CRET, Dr. Terese-Koch will play a vital role in advancing the organization's mission to bridge the gap between industry innovation and dental education. Her extensive background in dentistry makes her an ideal leader for CRET as it continues to evolve in the ever-changing landscape of dental technology and education.

“With a distinguished background in dentistry and education, Dr. Terese-Koch is well-positioned to lead CRET into its next phase of growth. Her multifaceted skill set spans both clinical practice and academic leadership”, said CRET representatives. “As the Dean of LMU-CDM, she has demonstrated visionary leadership, fostering innovation and excellence in dental education.”

LMU-CDM partnered with CRET to design, build and equip a digital technology Innovation Center (IC) at the LMU Tower. Located on the sixth floor, the LMU CRET Innovation Center is designed as a private practice dental office with treatment rooms, dental laboratories, sterilization areas, reception area, records area and all the associated technology. LMU’s IC includes dental equipment from Dentsply Sirona, Midmark, A-dec, the Royal Dental Group, Planmeca, DCI and DentalEZ. The diversity of equipment will provide students the opportunity to work with instruments and equipment from many different manufacturers so they have experience with the various equipment they may encounter once they are practicing dental professionals.

The LMU-CDM CRET Center offers general dentistry services including dental exams, cleaning, and extractions; restorative dentistry services including crowns, root canals, and fillings; and cosmetic dentistry services including bridges, dentures, partials, implants, and aligner orthodontics. It is currently staffed by faculty.
