LMU School of Business to Launch Master of Health Administration Degree

Health Care Administration

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business will launch a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree program in fall 2022 Dr. James Maxwell, dean, has announced.

“There are few industries facing as many challenges as the health care industry. A global pandemic, an aging population, personnel shortages and consistently changing policies and regulations are just a few of the pressures on the system,” Maxwell said. “However, challenging times can create new opportunities. While LMU has long offered a health management concentration in our MBA program, this is a great chance to further enhance that track with a degree focused on transforming students into resilient leaders ready to take on the trials of overseeing the business side of running a health organization.”

Designed to prepare graduates for leadership positions in health administration, the MHA delivers a high level of knowledge related to the health services administration environment. The 30 credit-hour curriculum covers health administration topics including management, marketing, analytics, quality improvement, finance, human resources management, entrepreneurship, innovation and more.

The program is fully online and designed specifically for a working professional. Students will follow a cohort model, completing two courses per semester. The MHA can be completed in as little as 20 months. Coursework is presented by LMU’s experienced School of Business faculty as well as seasoned professionals with decades of experience in health care administration.

Pending approval from by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC),  classes will begin in August 2022.
