Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) has launched two writing contests in conjunction with the University’s celebrations to honor its 125th Anniversary. The contests challenge writers to recognize and explore the bond between the University, Abraham Lincoln, and East Tennessee. The contests, for poetry and writing, will run through April 12, 2022, and celebrate the bond that has lasted for 125 years.
Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is debuting a new fight song in celebration of the 125th anniversary of LMU’s charter and founding. The LMU Pep Band will perform the song for the first time in public during halftime of the LMU women’s basketball game on Saturday, February 19, 2022. The Lady Railsplitters will welcome Queens University to Harrogate, with the game beginning at 2 p.m.

The Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) has hired Dr. Jennifer Banach as the attending veterinarian and assistant professor of veterinary medicine. Her main role will be to help serve LMU to ensure animal health, welfare, and regulatory compliance.

Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) is kicking off special programming and events in celebration of the 125th anniversary of LMU’s charter and founding, as well as in honor of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday. The celebration will kick off at the Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum (ALLM) on the campus of LMU on February 11 and 12. LMU was founded on February 12, 1897, and there is a year of events planned in honor of its quasquicentennial.
