Following a day of celebration on Friday, the ALLM will offer free admission to the public on Saturday, October 9. A full day of family programming is planned to include activities in the Museum and outdoor fun in the Pioneer Village. In the ALLM, the National Society Daughters of the Union Lincoln Learning Lab will be open for the first time. The lab is a place for children to explore the past through play and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering Art, and Mathematics). In the Pioneer Village, demonstrations of the connections between science and the Civil War will take place, along with an apple butter demonstration from reenactors. Sonne earned his Doctor of Medical Science degree in May 2020 and has been busy over the last year, caring for underserved populations, biking across the nation, and serving as an active-duty soldier during COVID-19.
Over 500 undergraduates students named to the LMU Dean's List for the spring semester of 2021. To be placed on the Dean’s List, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 or higher, grade-point average for the semester.
The current trend in new cases of COVID-19 in all of the LMU campus locations is very low. State and local regulations in all campus locations have been lifted to allow LMU to enter this next phase.

Now that a year has passed since the pandemic began, Bryant looks back on this challenging yet rewarding experience she will never forget.

Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) hosted the 2020 Center for Animal and Human Health in Appalachia (CAHA) Conference virtually on Oct. 30, 2020 via Zoom Webinar. This was the sixth conference held by LMU-CVM and its timely focus was on significant impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on human and animal health issues in the United States.
LMU-SMS alumnus, Austin Dages, PA-C, MSBHS, spent seven weeks volunteering as a neurosurgery physician assistant at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet, Kenya. The hospital is accustomed to frequent visits by health care providers year-round, however, Dages was the first neurosurgery visitor in six months due to the COVID-19 shutdown.
