Ten Veterinary Medicine Students Honored with Zoetis Scholarship

Harrogate, Tennessee, March 19, 2019 – Ten students from the Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) were honored with the 2019 Zoetis Veterinary Student Scholars Award, March 12, 2019, at the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) Symposium held in Athens, Georgia. A total of 315 students were selected across the nation from over 1,400 applications.

 

“These outstanding students have demonstrated their commitment to veterinary medicine by being actively involved in several professional organizations and participating in research and community service projects,” said LMU-CVM Vice President and Dean Jason Johnson, DVM, MS, DACT. “I commend each of them on their leadership efforts.”

 

Each of the following students received a scholarship in the amount of $2,000 and were honored for their contributions to the profession of veterinary medicine:

 

  • Molly Addison, CVM Class of 2021 of Warner Robins, Georgia
  • Chelsee Beal, CVM Class of 2020 of Rockwood, Pennsylvania
  • Amy Daly, CVM Class of 2021 of Cumming, Georgia
  • Mariah Fischer, CVM Class of 2020 of Cottonwood, California
  • Kristin Habegger, CVM Class of 2021 of Athens, Georgia
  • Michelle Mendoza, CVM Class of 2021 of Pearland, Texas
  • Cora Moyers, CVM Class of 2020 of Covington, Virginia
  • Emily Oliver, CVM Class of 2021 of Mechanicsville, Virginia
  • Megan Parker, CVM Class of 2021 of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina
  • Nicholas Shen, CVM Class of 2020 of Rochester, Minnesota
