Harrogate, Tennessee, Feb. 19, 2019—Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) School of Business will host an Open House to showcase its graduate programs on Monday, March. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LMU-Cedar Bluff extended learning site (421 Park 40 North Blvd., Knoxville).
Professors and administrators will be on hand to provide information about LMU’s graduate business programs, including the master of business administration (MBA) and doctor of business administration (DBA) programs. All of the programs have been carefully designed to meet the needs of working professionals.
The MBA program is offered with concentrations in general business, management, marketing, sport management, health care administration and operations management. LMU’s MBA program employs a hybrid model with both online and in-classroom coursework. Additionally, the MBA program can be complete entirely online.
The School of Business will transition its Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree program to a low-residency online format in the Fall of 2019. The DBA program is a 57 credit hour program. Candidates holding a MBA or equivalent degree may qualify to transfer 12 credit hours of completed course work into the program, leaving the student with only 45 credit hours of work to complete. The program aims to provide a doctoral learning opportunity for business professionals in Appalachia and beyond with a focus on advancing business practice in an evolving global economy and enhancing research and critical thinking skills. A course work and lectures will be delivered online within the revised format. Throughout the duration of the DBA program, candidates will complete two short residencies (two days each) on-site at LMU in Knoxville.
