The LMU-Corbin site will operate on a 2-hr delay Thursday, January 20. Classes will remain in person and the site will open at 10 a.m. All other LMU sites are operating on a regular schedule.

Mission: The Office of Inclusion & Diversity Engagement teaches and supports an understanding of diversity and the value of inclusive environments that respect the dignity of all individuals.

Vision: We strive to help facilitate the best undergraduate experience, where students from all backgrounds are supported and invited to explore, embrace, and share their diverse identities and experiences. Working with departments across campus and student leaders, we contribute to a campus environment that promotes inclusion, cultural competency, and social justice through providing support, information, diverse experiences, and resources.

Program Goals:

  • Supporting students from historically underrepresented groups
  • Celebrating diverse experiences and identities
  • Fostering an atmosphere of community, support, and mutual respect
  • Providing co-curricular experiences to foster greater critical and independent thinking skills
  • Preparing all students for entering a global workforce

Student Diversity Leadership Council (SDLC)

SDLC members serve as campus diversity ambassadors and is open to students who are part of LMU's diversity and those with a commitment to and passion for promoting diversity and inclusion. Member benefits include leadership development, service-learning opportunities, event planning skills, greater cultural awareness, personal growth, opportunities to serve on focus groups and attend student conferences, and an enhanced resume.
