Veterinary Medical Technology

The Associate of Science in Veterinary Medical Technology (AS VMT) Program prepares students to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE). The Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medical Technology (BS VMT) furthers the skills students have gained in an accredited veterinary technician program.

These programs do not contain prerequisite coursework necessary to apply to veterinary school.

The Veterinary Health Science (Pre-Veterinary) Program prepares students for application to veterinary colleges or to gain employment in a related field.

This program contains prerequisite coursework necessary to apply to veterinary school.

Early Acceptance Program/Guaranteed Professional Admission Program

The Early Acceptance Program (EAP) allows high-achieving, highly-motivated high school seniors to earn guaranteed acceptance into the Richard A. Gillespie College of Veterinary Medicine upon successful completion of their undergraduate degree, provided they meet benchmarks determined by the Admissions Committee.

The Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Animal Science prepares graduates to apply to graduate programs, as well as to gain employment in related fields.
